The photo is me on my birthday at Paisley Park in 2022. When I first went to Minneapolis in 2018, I had to book a hotel only a week before my flight and when I arrived at the hotel I’ve got room 319. I really thought it was a present he gave me from above. That same night the tv went on by itself. Sadly I never saw him perform. I received more of these “little presents” and I always believed that they were little presents from him from above for never seeing him perform. Therefore; thank you Prince🙏💜

My name is Astrid. I’m from the Netherlands. I've been a Prince fan since the 80’s although I have never seen him perform. It seems it was never my time. This April I will be back at Paisley Park for the 5th time. I love Paisley Park but I also love Minneapolis, it feels like home ever since the very first time I was there (2017). Minneapolis feels so similar to the Netherlands: flat land, lots of water, and the diversity of people. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from. Prince, Paisley Park and Minneapolis will always be in my heart. I will come back for as long as I am able to. Oh and one of my fave songs is Controversy, because it was the first song I ever heard and saw the video on tv. This song immediately made me fall in love with the music and the man💜
