My connection to Prince started when I was fourteen years old. His music opened up a whole new world for me. It was bold, emotional, playful and fearless in a way I had never heard before, and it made a huge impression on me as a young girl growing up in Sweden. Over the years I found my way into what many of us call the Purple Family, the global community connected through Prince's music and the spirit that lives in it. For me, his music has always felt like coming home and it's a place where I remember who I am…and now I have friends all over the world who feel the same. I'm a singer and songwriter, and Prince has influenced me deeply as an artist. In 2018 I traveled to Paisley Park for Celebration after asking my friends and followers to help me get there. One morning, while driving from my Airbnb in Chaska to Paisley Park, I started singing the words 'Take Me to Paisley.' I remember exactly where I was on the road. I was so happy to be there, on my way to Prince's home again, and at the same time there was this quiet sadness because he wasn't physically there anymore. When I got back home to Sweden I turned those memories into lyrics. That moment eventually became my song Take Me to Paisley, which I later recorded with the incredible musician Twon Green.
