Our closing day on Saturday, June 27, was a celebration of Prince and community. Author and theologian Pamela Ayo Yetunde led an afternoon gathering on the theology and spirituality of Prince, drawing from her book Dearly Beloved: Prince, Spirituality, and This Thing Called Life. DJ Manny of MPLS FONK brought the season to a joyful close, with Terry Jackson on live percussion, and artist Bon Mott activated their cat suit with an impromptu performance. Over the afternoon many people flowed through for one last visit: Prince’s cousin Shauntel, former Northside neighbors and schooldays friends, current residents and young artists, Prince author Andrea Swensson and collector Rich Benson. Thank you to all the artists, participants and collaborators. Our hearts are full.
