The Purple Rain House in South Minneapolis is a popular site of pilgrimage for the Prince community. Prince never lived actually lived here, but as his character The Kids's house in the iconic film, it lives on in people's hearts as a house of Prince.

Alexander Lauber has been a passionate Prince fan since 1992, when Diamonds and Pearls sparked his lifelong enthusiasm. Over the years, he has collected all of Prince's albums and attended multiple concerts. Prince became a profound source of inspiration for him — one that he expresses artistically through his work in photography. Following Prince's death, he dedicated himself to exploring and preserving the artist's legacy and published a book about Prince, Paisley Park, and Minneapolis. He has visited Paisley Park twelve times, and he continues to document Prince-related locations in and around Minneapolis through his photography.
