I was 10 years old when Purple Rain arrived on the scene. I was immediately obsessed. A friend and I spent the summer memorizing the lyrics to each song and would put on living room concerts for our parents. We didn't understand what we were singing, but we knew we loved it. The mix of rock, pop, funk, and R&B were unlike anything before it. Later I found Prince's older music and continued to follow him throughout his career. No one could touch him. He was a musical genius.
I am an elementary school teacher, husband, dad, son, and caregiver. I am interested in many forms of artistic expression including drawing/painting, stained glass work, and music mixing. I have created over 30 music mixes including a tribute to Prince titled Purple Reign chronicling many hits and philosophies.
